Lambeth Links is the LGBTQIA+ community forum for Lambeth. Their vision is for Lambeth Links to be a central point of rallying, communication and advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQIA+ Community who live, work and socialise in our borough.
The Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Lambeth, Christopher Wellbelove, joined local MP Helen Hayes and Mayor of Lambeth Councillor Sarbaz Barznji to meet with members and to hear about some of the issues that they face.
A key issue highlighted is LGBTQIA+ people entering care homes and some of the issues they face including feeling they have to choose whether to be open about their sexuality in this new environment.
The Mayor and Deputy Lieutenant also took the opportunity to visit the Lambeth Health and Wellbeing bus that was visiting Lambeth Link. The bus usually operates between 10am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays in public locations across Lambeth and also attends special events.in the borough
