The Prince of Wales was welcomed by the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Lambeth, Christopher Wellbelove, as he began his tour of Homewards locations.
Lambeth was the first Homewards location announced, and His Royal Highness was there to discuss the need to break the link between mental ill-health and homelessness.
Homewards is a five-year locally led programme which aims to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness: making it rare, brief, and unrepeated.
It was fitting that he chose Mosaic Clubhouse, a Brixton based charity that aims to promote positive mental health for those aged 16 and over, living with severe and often enduring mental health conditions, enabling individuals to regain the confidence and skills necessary to lead productive and satisfying lives.
Many of their members will have experienced homelessness and by working with the Homeward project they can work with other organisations to work with those at risk of homelessness.
