Measuring Web 2.0

A board has been established to establish a single measurement panel, similar to BARB, in the UK.

The body is considering seven proposals from media measurement research companies to create the online currency.

The measure will provide a currency for measuring online reach and frequency, as well as incorporating engagement measures such as dwell time.

It will be interesting to see how they meet the challenge of measuring web 2.0 activity when the visitors who see your content may never visit your site or a page you control on a web 2.0 platform but via a blogger or news service that cover your content.
