As a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London, alongside being the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Lambeth, Christopher can be called upon to represent the Lord Lieutenant across Greater London.

Christopher welcomed the Duke and Duchess to the London Velodrome at the Velopark in East London for the Commonwealth Games. Whilst the majority of the games were hosted in Birmingham, a little part of London became Birmingham to host track racing.
