Duke and Duchess of Gloucester visit London’s Velodrome

As a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London, alongside being the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Lambeth, Christopher can be called upon to represent the Lord Lieutenant across Greater London.

Christopher welcomed the Duke and Duchess to the London Velodrome at the Velopark in East London for the Commonwealth Games. Whilst the majority of the games were hosted in Birmingham, a little part of London became Birmingham to host track racing.

After watching some truly exciting and invigorating races, The Duke went on to present medals to some of the worthy winners.

Christopher Wellbelove DL took the opportunity to talk to a few of the thousands of volunteers who helped make the games possible.
